Day 21 - We Have A Floor

We have a tile floor.

You may remember I was doing some warm up sewing of strips together.
This is the top I pieced with one set of strips.

Day 17. New wallboard

The new walls were started today.

Day 16 - Time For Tile

It is starting to look like a shower now that the tile is being applied to the walls.

Day 15 - Another Day, Another Coat Or Two

It takes time to do things right so the shower will be waterproof. 

We Are Two Week Into Our Remodel

As of today we are 2 week into the remodel. This coat is a cheery cherry color!

Day 12 The Walls Are Being Readied For The Tile

I am getting excited as it won't be too long before we start to see the tile on the walls.
The contractor is doing a great job getting the various experts here to do the work.

What Happened On Day11?

The shower is happening, although it is a complex time consuming process.

10 days Into Our Remodel

It was necessary to patch a small area. Fortunately we had some tiles left from the original build and the tile installer was able to salvage a few more.

More Progress In Remodel

More supplies are ready to be used for the project.

This area will be a new larger shower.

Day 6 - More Accomplished

More accomplished on day 6. Not as obvious as previous days.

I am impressed how everything is cleaned up for the weekend.

On To Day 5!

This is where the new vanity will go.

They are doing a great job and making progress.

And I quote "We have the hard part done"!

A lot happened today with the  remodel. The layout is becoming clearer.
This is day 4.

Demo Day 3

This is what it looks like after contractors worked for the third day. It was a challenge for them to remove the tile floor on the right and it is not done yet.

The shower pan was removed also.

And So The Demo Begins........

The contractor made great progress on the remodel on the first day.

This is the other view of the demolition, I am impressed with the progress they made.

It Is Happening

I am excited that our remodeling project started today.

This is the first of the before photos.

This is the second before photo...lights make colors look different. Stay tuned as the project progresses.

Warm Up Quilt Piecing

When I haven't sewn/quilted for a while and want to get going again I do some warm up piecing.

I have a lot of strips left over from other projects.

I started by just sewing a handful together and continued trying to make a more cohesive combination.

I had NO idea what I'd do with them, but that is the way I often work.

You can see the unit is slightly curved  I do believe I can press and eliminate most of that.

I am now piecing a second unit and I figured out why this happened and this second unit is quite straight.
