A Treasure Hunt For Cooper

My youngest grandson admired something I had made for someone else.

He really loved it and “commissioned” me to make one for him……although he didn’t know he had commissioned one.

He told me his favorite colors and I used them to create this TREASURE!

Each clue was in a green envelope Here he found the first clue hidden by one of his favorite things here…..the COW!

Some of the pictures are not too clear as some areas where the clues were were not well lit.

Next he was directed to the area where we keep the board games, etc.

Then he was directed to the Watermelon basket where I keep treasures to pick when he visits. This time he found a green envelope with the next clue.

Time to find his favorite Sprecher’s Root Beer with another green envelope.

Then into the living room where his envelope was hiding under the pillow that had beads on it.

The bedroom where he would sleep if he stayed overnight!

The final clue was on Grandma Kay’s favorite sewing machine!

The final clue directed him to my oldest sewing machine. That one was the hardest as I don’t think he even knew about my treadle machine.

I had to give his some clues: SINGER and Red and White.

He got the bag and took it downstairs to open it in front of Dad!

He’s starting to open it and is very interested.

It’s pretty obvious how much he loved it. It never left his hands until he put it in the bag to go home.

This is a view of the entire throw. I love creating these and making the colors flow throughout the entire piece.

This one was so much fun I finished it in record time.
It’s a great way to use up small amounts of yarn, orphan balls and of course I have to find colors within my collection to blend everything together.

Years ago when I finished arranging my yarn by color in my post office sorting desk his dad walked in and said “And when are you going to start knitting Mom?”

Well I have been knitting and even have some empty space in my cabinets.

I have a feeling that when the weather changes the next one will be for me!
