5003 in 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I reached by goal of getting rid of 5000 things in 2013.
My original goal was to get rid of 2013 things, but when I reached that in less 4 months I set my sights higher.
The day/year isn’t over and the total could increase.
It’s a great feeling and I do feel lighter. There are a few areas in the house where there can be no more purging. They are stripped to the bare necessities.
The closets have empty areas and each section allows the clothes to move easily so I can see what I have.
Just a few of the hangers I’ve emptied this year!
Yet sometime in 2014 I will be listing more of my beloved Blue Fish clothing and other special treasures on eBay.
I’ll also be listing patterns, books and possibly other items for sale on eBay.
Most likely that will not begin until June or July.
Yes, the studio storeroom is a candidate for purging in 2014 or 2015!
There are some areas in the basement that are ripe for a purging.
There is an area in the basement that is “none of my business” and I won’t touch that one.
Will I set a goal for 2014? I probably will, but it will not be 5000. More than likely it will be 2014!
I know myself well enough to know that using numbers makes me work at this more seriously.
I also know that I work better if I count down rather than count up.
Yes, I AM a numbers person!!!
So on this last day of 2013 I bid you farewell and hope you too are looking forward to 2014.

Christmas 2013 continued
The Lord, Lady and Master of the Manor!
The entry hall
Heidi sharing another Village!
Coffee table in family room
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care……………
And Santa WAS there!
The island all ready to put out the food! Dana (and her broken arm) is getting something out of the refrigerator.
Looking through the pass thru you can see the activity in the kitchen as they are getting dinner ready.
Sorry I didn’t get a picture of Jeffrey as he was too busy working all the time I was there.
Dinner was delicious with family favorites from both sides of the family.
The younger generation prepared a lot of the food and also cleaned up after dinner.

Traditional Family Pizza Fondue and Family Gift Night
Friday evening was our annual Pizza Fondue night with Jeff’s family at my house.
Kierstin is showing another Hummel figurine she received for her collection.
Cooper’s (age 7) very favorite was a piece from my red glass souvenir collection. It was inscribed Omaha Exposition 1898. Who would think a 7 year old would appreciate something like this so much? Here he is reading the inscription.
Here is Jeff Sr. with his 3D packer quilt. It is a little blurry as it wouldn’t stop spinning for the photo!
Jeff Jr. is multitasking – eating a clementine and opening his Christopher Radko pear ornament.
Dana reading the “Life Little Instruction Book” she received.
Heidi showing us the little book she received.
Cooper’s other favorite was this book. He wanted to read the whole thing aloud to the family. He came to a page about showing everyone in the family his love for them and made the rounds!
Hug for Heidi!
Hug and smooch from Kierstin!
We have been celebrating this way since Cooper was 4. The first year he wouldn’t eat the fondue, just the bread to dip in it. Now he loves it. He starts asking when we are going to do this night as soon as he sees me in December. I hope it is a tradition they all will keep in their memory bank for ever!

Christmas Decorations 2013
I’m thinking this is a new tree this year. I didn’t take pictures last year.
That is Greta on the lower right. She LOVES to have her picture taken and poses.
Another tree with a display to complement it.
And one more tree!
It takes a family to make put up a village! (and to take it down eventually!)
The table for the younger crowd.
The dining room table.
Dining room buffet
Dining room tree
To be continued!

In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there…………….

But a miniature sleigh …………………
But I heard him exclaim, 'ere he drove out of sight,

Santa On The Move–Day 23
I’m almost ready to head to the North Pole for my Christmas Eve journey.
I changed into my usual red attire so I’d be recognizable. Mrs. Claus made me a new wardrobe since the old one no longer fit after I appeared incognito on Extreme Weight Loss. I know you probably didn’t recognize me on the show, but I was one of the biggest success stories they’ve ever had. To celebrate my weight loss Mrs. Claus decided to change the color on the fur when she made my new wardrobe.
With my new slim trim figure I can load more toys in the sleigh and the reindeer won’t have to work so hard.
I went outside and tested the snow. It’s not as soft and fluffy as it was in the last snowstorm. This time it is a little crunchy!
I’m heading north so I’ll be ready tomorrow night to fly through the sky and deliver toys to good girls and boys.

Santa On The Move-Day 17
Santa decided it might be a good idea to head to Disney World before he starts his journey north to the North Pole.
He’s got his ticket as he bought it years ago and he can go to all the parks in one day with it.
He’s sure going to be able to check up on a lot of kids and find out if they’ve been good with just one visit.
He’s also going to be able to check up on the moms, dads, and even the grandparents while he is there.
