I have started free motion quilting Ice On Fire.
The line you see is marked with soap and is the only marking I will do on this. It is just to get me working in the right direction. It will either wear off or I can take a wet terry rag and wipe it off.
The thread is a light weight metallic so it shows up a little different than it really is. It reflects light so it photographs differently than a flat surface.
So far this is working exactly as I hoped it would. I hope to finish the quilting today. I do find free motion quilting without marking goes a lot faster than following marked lines and also lets me put my signature style on my work – graceful and sensitive to the work.
