Juke Box

image
This piece I iced dyed is the brightest yet.
When I look at it all I can see is a Juke Box,….maybe a Wurlitzer!
What do you see when you look at this one?
Again, this is a totally different fabric manipulation and dye combo than I have ever used before.

Although I certainly don't want my comment to seem blasphemous, I sort of see the Shroud of Turin! Or else a great background for a screen-printed image of Jimi Hendrix (not to make ANY equivocation between my ideas).

Or a Hindu temple?

I'm old enough to remember juke boxes in restaurants; you'd have an 'outlet' at your table into which you could feed a quarter and select a song...then wait your turn while the kitchen prepared your order and/or you ate. If you were brave, you'd let your burger and fries (*real* beef, *real* potatoes) get cold while you danced to your selection. NOTE: you didn't need a date to do this. You'd just dance with whoever was at your table -- unless it was your parents!

I imagine there are people who don’t even know what a juke box is……..but for those of us who do….yes, I def. see it!
