Circle Inset Quilt - Quilting Process
I have done vertical curved rows of quilting on this. If you click on the image it will enlarge and you may be able to see them better.
I was pleased with the design created by the quilting lines. This was not enough quilting though to balance and hold the quilt top securely.
This is a closup of one section of the quilt. It too can be enlarged so you can see the quilting detail more clearly.
Look carefully at the overall image of the quilt and also the quilting I have already done.
Now think if it was your quilt what additional quilting would YOU do?
I am going to let you think about this until tomorrow when I will return to show you what I did.

This is turning out very cool!
I would think that adding diagonal line quilting within half of the curved quilting and alternating direction here and there would add another dimension and more movement.
I really like the feel of this piece also. I might consider some echo quilting inside the center and side hemispheres for a start.
This is so unique and beautiful, is it made from hand dyed fabrics? I do believe it needs more quilting but am at a loss...this is where I always get stuck..when is less good enough?
