Another Twisted Log Cabin quilt

Here is another twisted log cabin quilt I did WITHOUT paper piecing. Most people paper piece this pattern.
I came up with a method to do this block without paper piecing. It is every bit as accurate and I can piece 3-4 blocks in the time it takes to piece one paper pieced block. ANd besides that - there is no paper to remove when you are done.
I found students had the same positive experience making these.
My photo was so small I enlarged it for you but it lost some clarity when I did.
This also makes me thing spring.

So many people are showing photos of their beautiful gardens, trees and flowers on their blogs right now. You won't see a lot of those here. You may see a lot of green and occasionally some color on the trees and plants and yard decor.

Tonight's puzzle is the quilt that Suzie gave me when she visited me in FL. Hope you don't mind that I turned it sideways so I could use it as the puzzle Suzie.

This is gorgeous! I admire the techniques and the brilliant effect. Is there no chance to make a larger photo?
There are free photo programs with a sharpening function, my favourite is Irfan View.

I am making a queen sized LCWT and would love to learn your method of no paper piecing- Do you have a tutorial or class?

Which method did you use? This is beautiful. I have tried a method using freezer paper which worked well.

It's a method based on measurements and other assorted tricks I developed.
Eventually I may do internet classes. Keep watching but please don't hold your breath.

OK.... internet class please... i can't hold my breath too long :-) I love the pattern, but the paper piecing method takes forever. Please share :-)

BTW... forgot to say how much I love the quilt and the colors.

It is beautiful. I too figured out a method to do it without paper piecing. Would be interesting to see if we found 2 different methods or the same!?!
