Contemplating How To Quilt This WOW Quilt

I always spend a lot of time studying each quilt before I quilt it.

This WOW quilt, which does not have it's own name yet, is the one I am studying right now.

I think if I do some quilting from corner to corner on the diamond shapes I can get the effect of gently curving lines.

I like to print the quilt and lay tracing paper on top of the photo to see if I like my ideas.

I can do several different tracings to see which I prefer.

I like that idea of auditioning the quilting on the quilt. How large is the WOW quilt.... WOW is a good name if nothing else pops into your head.....

Don't study that dynamic quilt too much ... I think you could hypnotize yoruself ;-)

Honestly it is quite wonderful. I predict you will have a lot of fun sketching some quilting ideas for it. I usually am thinking quilting ideas while I'm sewing the top together ... usually by the time I finish with the top, I have a good idea of what I want and just have to work out the details. I agree that tracing paper is a wonderful way to try things.

Since I was getting dizzy studing it too, how about Dizzy Diamonds or Hyypnotizing Rings...Good luck, it is lovely!!!

WOW certainly is a perfect name.

Making one of these types of pieces is on my bucket list. I have the wedge ruler and a couple of books and am contemplating it. This looks like a beautifully fractured mirror. Stunning.

I immediately thought of a tight spiral from the center to the edges :). It's very whirl-y ... whirling dervish??

Great quilt! It also looks like a circular saw - slicing through the do-list?

I'll be looking forward to the final selection.
