Quilts: Another Dimension reception was fantastic

I'm exhausted, exhilarated, tired and yet wide awake!
Although the high today was 10 degrees it didn't stop people from attending the opening.

Sonji was ready for the weather in her warm winter duds. I didn't even realize it was her under that hat until I saw her famous Sonji smile! I'm so glad you were able to make it to the reception Sonji to bask in the glory of the positive responses to your quilts. Everyone in my family absolutely loved them.

Elaine was the first person through the door that I knew. Would you believe we met in Florida and yet she lives just miles from me in WI/IL? We'll see each other again in FL in a few weeks when she visits her brother and sister in law.

As I show you these people shots I'm also showing you quilts - although it may only be a partial view. All the quilts you see in the photos were on the first floor and were mine. I did not get up to the second floor. On the second floor were all the work by the other 4 artists along with the rest of my 39 quilts. Do take the time to observe the architectural details in the photos of the Anderson Arts Center. It is a gorgeous building.

This is my family - sisters, brother, brother and sister in laws, cousins and niece and husband. I was so pleased they were all able to make it. My niece and her husband drove up from Springfield, Illinois just to see the show. After the show my sister and brother in law hosted us all for a lovely dinner in honor of the show. A wonderful finish to a perfect day. They all said how much they loved the show and enjoyed meeting the other artists and seeing everyone's work. The entire show is fantastic - just ask anyone who was there.

These are my friends Sue, Suzie and Sylvia. Sue was the one who originally introduced me to the Art Center's director who invited me to begin showing there.
Suzie gets the prize for coming the farthest to attend the reception. She came all the way from Portland, Maine. Sylvia probably lives closer to me than anyone else who was there! Both Sue and Suzie have taken a lot of classes from me and both do lovely work themselves.
I think this is going to be it for my post tonight. I have more photos of some of those in attendance and quilts for tomorrow.
