I am getting ready to do the Tessellation Tutorial I said I would do.
I would like to give you a supply list so you can gather the things you need before I start posting the directions.
Even if you are not a quilter you may really enjoy doing this. It is a fun exercise and does not necessarily require a sewing machine.
SUPPLIES:
Package of lined 3 x 5 index cards (or you can use 4 x 6 cards)
Removable Scotch Tape (Blue Plaid dispenser)
Paper scissors
Fabric scissors
Template plastic
Black permanent felt tip marker
Pencil
An iron
1 1/4 - 2 yards Pellon FUSIBLE fleece
3 - 4 yards Wonder Under
FABRIC:
8-12 assorted cotton print fabrics, 1/4 yard each
A. Choose fabrics that range from light to dark
B. Choose fabrics with different types of prints
C. Choose both bright and dull subtle colors
D. Choose fabrics with different sizes of prints
If you have a fabric collection look through the fabrics you have and see if anything you have meets these guidelines.
If you don't have a fabric collection you can wait to purchase fabrics until we get further along in the process.
This is a group of fabrics I put together to do a tessellation quilt. I will not be working with them as I explain how to do this as I left them in Florida.
Please let me know when you have your supplies assembled. When I hear from enough of you we will be ready to start.
This is so much fun, and allows you to be creative in spite of yourself.
I hope you'll be joining me.

Ready to go. Thank you so much for posting this Kay!
I have everything but the index cards, will go out and purchase some today. This is wonderful of you to offer this tutorial...
Well, as soon as I get my index cards------I'll be ready!
Opps, found them in my husbands desk! I'm ready. Paulette in VA.
Ready to go!!
I am all set. I have some different colored index cards with writing on one side. Is it ok if I use the other side?
They will work so long as you have lines on one side.
It is OK if the writing is on the lined side.
I'm ready
I'm ready and hope to keep up. Have very little time to do much this week or next.
Behind the curve ball here...just saw the QA post for this. Getting things together. Only need to get the index cards now. If you start before I'm ready, I'll catch up. Thanks so much for taking time to do this.
Gracias, me pongo a buscar las telas, pero desde ya te sigo.
I'm game and HOPE I can keep up. Thanks, Kay!
Now I'm ready. Got the index cards.
I'd like to join in too. Have everything except the pellon and fabrics to be picked.
