I'm Leaving On A Jet Plane

Don't know when I'll be back again..................

Yesterday was the day to "change house".

Farewell, FL!
It was a great season and it is a bittersweet feeling to leave the warmth and sunshine. It is a big project to get the house ready for the house sitters as I leave. There are also all those last minute get togethers with friends and family we squeeze in when we know it will be a while before we see each other again. I didn't even get to say a personal good bye to several good friends and neighbors.

Welcome to Wisconsin.
This is the view out the front window in Wisconsin. I don't even need air conditioning here. Actually this photos shows part of what I missed this winter!
I also missed the daffodils, tulips, and the mess the sugar maple trees create in the yard and on the roof.

I also missed the peak of my peonies blooming. The bushes were very full this year. The blooms have faded and they have been beaten down by the rain.

The grass and yard look very green and lush. Although we call Florida Paradise, this too is Paradise of the north!

The peonies - was there any fragrance left? That is 75% of a peony to me....

As I ran out to take this photo a gentle rain started and I didn't even notice the fragrance.
I was just concerned about how to take the photo and keep my camera dry.

I sure don't miss that Midwest snow! Your place in Florida looks wonderful -- I wish I had somewhere sunny to go in the winter. I also love your latest quilt pix.
